About Local Loop New Scotland

Local Loop New Scotland is a project of Stylo Design Studio—built from the intersection of creativity, community, and decades of digital experience.

I’m Joe Schaefer, a local artist and the owner of Stylo Design Studio here in Voorheesville. While many people know me for my paintings, my background runs deep in digital design, website development, and marketing—over 25 years of helping ideas get seen, understood, and acted on. Local Loop is a natural extension of that work: a way to apply those skills to something that directly benefits the place I call home.

This isn’t just another directory. Local Loop New Scotland is a digital guide designed to spotlight the businesses, events, and hidden gems that make our town what it is. The goal is simple—make it easier for people to discover, support, and stay connected to everything happening right here in the community.

This project is also shaped by someone just as important behind the scenes—my wife, Stephanie. She’s my partner in life and the person I turn to when I need a gut check, a second opinion, or a reality check. Not every idea I throw her way lands—but this one did. Local Loop was something she immediately connected with, and her perspective, feedback, and honest reactions helped shape it into what it’s becoming.

We’re proud to live in Voorheesville. We’re proud to build something for it. And we’re excited to see where the Loop takes us.
